HAMILTON — Children of all ages gathered at the park in Lindenwald at the corner of Benninghofen and Minor avenues last week for Bible Baptist Church’s four-day Quest for the 10 Commandments.

The event’s objective, according to Children’s Church Director Ron Courter, was to relay God’s spiritual message in ways youngsters could fully understand.

“We’ve got a lot of stuff set up for the kids to enjoy themselves and have fun, while incorporating our theme, The 10 Commandments,” Courter said during a session on Wednesday, June 18.

It was the Church’s second year of conducting the Bible club, which included crafts, songs, lessons, face painting and other amusing games.

Bible Baptist Church, which meets at the UAW Hall on Symmes Road in Fairfield on Sundays and Wednesday evenings for its services, is a fundamental independent church founded by Dr. Wallace A. Miller and his family.

The Church's first service was held on April 2, 2006 and has been meeting ever since.

Courter said Bible Baptist is looking forward to what God will provide, and he expects the Church to continue to grow. Courter said the Church has upped its member count to nearly 150 people since the first service.
