HAMILTON —
Joseph Vogt was almost through with getting his school shirt
signed by the sixth grade class on his last day at St. Ann
Catholic School this past Tuesday afternoon.
Then swarmed the fourth graders.
“Where’s Joey at? Where’s Joey at?” they all yelled
simultaneously.
Vogt and the rest of his 14 classmates graduated that
Tuesday night during a mass ceremony and a program put on by
the students.
The graduating eighth graders collected scholarships, awards
and honors during the program.
“Because this group was a rather small one, I got to know
them better,” St. Ann Principal Donna Weber said. “One of
the biggest things that standout with this class is their
improvement from day one.
“They have a great future ahead of them,” Weber added.
“Everyone of them has made an impression.”
The graduates were: Chase Brandenburg, Jack Bucheit, Allison
Crossley, Erin Fontaine, Andrew Groh, Nicole Hagan, Hillary
Hake, Lindy Nusky, Morgan Sackenheim, Trenton Sackenheim,
Jeffrey Smith, Amanda Thompson, Joseph Vogt, Nicholas Vogt
and Daniel Wolf.
All of them are expected to attend Badin High School.
“It’s going to be good thing to meet new people,” Class
President Daniel Wolf said. “But you’re going to miss
everybody you’ve spent eight or nine years with in one
classroom. I know we’ll see them all again though.”
The student’s program had a theme related to their TV
memories.
“You are taking another step into life’s journey,” Webber
told the students. “The future holds so much for you young
men and women.”
